The Coventry Cross of Nails

Michael Paget Wilkes, Archdeacon of Coventry and Chair of the Sudan Church Association travelled to Khartoum to take a cross of nails from Coventry to the Cathedral
Michael Paget wrote:
"I am hoping that once the connection has been made then contacts of prayer will automatically spring up between Khartoum and other praying groups. "
The intention is to create a Chapel of the Cross of Nails at All Saints Cathedral

Confirmation Service
The Bishop will be conducting confirmation service in the Parish of Soura 54 on Sunday 18th March 2007
Election for new bishops in ECS
The Bishop of the Diocese of Khartoum will participate in the forth coming elections for the new bishops in 3 dioceses of Ezo, Kajo-Keji and Torit. It will take place between 23rd and 28th March 2007. The election will be followed by House of Bishops Meeting. Both events wil take place in Juba.
Diocesan Synod Meeting
Diocesan Synod for the Diocesa of Khartoum will meet in the first week of October 2007. With the
increase of two more archdeaconries, it means the number of people attending the synod meeting will increase. It has to be noted that the former archdeaconry of East Nile has been divided into two and is to be Khartoum North and Atbra archdeaconries repectively. Also Gezira Archdeaconry has been divided into two to be known Medani and Damazin archdeaconries respectively.
